This holiday season promises to have some of the year’s best book releases.  Your favorite authors, including James Patterson, Tom Clancy, and Dean Koontz, have written suspenseful new fiction for your library. Dead or Alive, Tom Clancy’s new title, is set to release on Dec. 7, and tells the story of thrill-seeking Jack Ryan who is on the hunt to capture terrorists.

Dean Koontz’s, What the Night Knows, is a classic murder mystery accompanied with an average investigator determined to find the killer and save the day.  Fate of the Jedi by Troy Denning will make Star Wars fans ecstatic as Luke Skywalker and his son return to overthrow Sith and his warriors.

Fiction is not the only genre alive this holiday season. In America by Heart, Sarah Palin’s latest blockbuster, she talks about her inspired encounters with ordinary Americans across the country.  Palin’s personal testament to her love of our country, the American people, and the key values of living an American life is set to be one of the season’s best-selling titles.  If you’re less interested in politics and more interested in hearing from one of the most successful rappers of all time, then Jay-Z’s Decoded is the holiday must-have for you. This title is packed with personal stories and lyrics from the famous rapper’s career.

These are just a few of the big releases coming out in time for the holidays. What holiday book releases are you looking forward to?

Any idea if Overdrive will ever be able to offer ePubs of Jonathan Franzen’s “Freedom” or Emma Donoghue’s “Room”?
