Take Control of Your Digital Book Future

Many of our library partners are on their way to the Public Library Association National Conference in Portland. And you’ve seen a few reminders to visit OverDrive’s PLA booth #2347, March 24-26, right here on this blog. Other than seeing your favorite OverDrive team members in person, there are a few other great reasons to stop by our booth during the show.

We’re giving visitors at our PLA booth a preview of some of the upcoming content and service enhancements that are planned for 2010, including DRM-free eBooks, Library eBook Accessibility Program (LEAP), LibraryBIN, the new OverDrive Dashboard, Content Reserve Plus with content for online and offline use, and more. You can find out more about all of these services in this press release. There are also a few other surprises for all of the attendees who visit us at booth #2347. (Go ahead. Ask us about Androidâ„¢.)

If you’re not going to PLA, don’t worry. We’ll have additional information about all of these enhancements in the coming months. Keep checking back here, or become a fan on Facebook, for the latest information on OverDrive’s digital services for libraries.

Is LEAP available to Malaysians? We have a service for the visually impaired and work closely with the Force Foundation. It would be wonderful if our VIPs (as we call them) can access Bookshare!

Hi Flora. LEAP is available to OverDrive’s US library partners with eBook collections. We’ll let you know when we have any other developments in accessibility for international libraries.

Thank you for your reply…I really hope it will become available to international libraries! There are many visually impaired persons who can benefit from it.
