Congratulations are in order for the five winners of our 2012 Outreach Program Contest! On behalf of Team OverDrive, I’d like to thank all the libraries that participated this year. We’ve seen some fantastic ideas, and in the coming months we’ll be sharing them here in the blog and through our ongoing marketing and training efforts.

Keep an eye out on the blog over the next couple of months, as representatives from the winning libraries will be contributing Librarians Share spotlight posts. They’ll share their success stories and offer some tips on marketing digital collections.

 

We received nearly 30 entries from schools, colleges and public libraries in the U.S., Canada and Singapore. The judging criteria focused on two primary areas:

 

Creativity—the originality of the campaign and how/where it was implemented

 

Effectiveness—the potential of the campaign to reach new patrons inside and outside the library, and ultimately increase download circulation
