The latest version of OverDrive Media Console for iOS devices gives readers more control over aspects such as text justification and line spacing.

Here’s good news for patrons using Apple and Android devices to enjoy eBooks and audiobooks from the library: We recently released new versions of OverDrive Media Console for iOS and Android platforms. With these new apps, users will notice “look and feel” changes as well as improved overall performance.

OverDrive Media Console version 2.4.2 for iOS incorporates several new eReader features that give the user more control over text justification, line spacing, page margins, and font selection. Optimized graphics support the iPad Retina display. You can find OMC 2.4.2 for iOS in Apple’s App Store.

For Android devices, OMC v2.4.2 features dynamic home-screen widgets that let users play audiobooks right from the home screen or resume reading eBooks with a single tap. The new app gives you the option to read in landscape mode with multiple columns of text, offers bold font choices, and debuts an in-book image viewer. Download the new Android app from Google Play.

Also in the works is an OMC update for Windows Phone 7, coming soon to Windows Marketplace. Stay tuned for details!

I had OMC 2.4.1 on my BB playbook and it worked great. I just tried to upgrade to version 2.4.2 and got error message 0008 and have not been able to reinstall your software. Any suggestions or help appreciated.

    Thanks.

Love all the improvements with the new mobile version. Would be nice if we had more color choices, like Alkido Reader. Also will we ever get video files MP4? Thanks
