At the 2016 International Society for Technology in Education Conference (ISTE) OverDrive will share updates on the technologies that have led to a record number of students using digital books at school. In the 2015-16 school year, approximately six million students had access to digital books, including eBooks, audiobooks and streaming video, an increase of 31 percent over the 2014-2015 school year. In fact, nearly 13,000 schools and districts in 50 countries now offer digital content in the classroom and school library via OverDrive. The number of digital books borrowed in OverDrive-powered schools is up nearly 60 percent year over year as more students embrace digital books.

Logo8-150x117These numbers are made possible through improved technology, unparalleled content with best sellers in all subjects and in many world languages, and learning and compatibility with all devices providing schools the ability to transform their classrooms with digital content. To help connect even more children with digital books through their school and public library, OverDrive has partnered with DOGObooks.com. This leading website for book reviews by children connects students to resources in libraries. DOGObooks.com helps kids discover, rate and review the books they enjoy. The site offers a fun, safe and interactive environment for children to share their reactions, thoughts and opinions about books.

ISTE attendees can visit booth #2737 to learn more about partership with Dogo, see what digital novel sets schools are using with their students and have a chance to win tablets from OverDrive while learning about the new technologies and features that are connecting students to digital content at a record pace.
